Maplestory is a fun, 2D side-scrolling fantasy MMORPG with cartoony graphics.  The game is certainly one of the most popular free-to-play MMORPGs, as it has a massive community and a lot of features.  The game has a large world to explore, varied classes, unique platforming party quests, and so much more.  Maplestory practically started the entire free-to-play genre, as it was really the first successful free MMORPG.

Today I will discuss about another mmo that I will play later on, I’m interested in this game for its variety of skills and its  unique pvp combat system.

Knight Online is a popular 3D Fantasy MMORPG that chronicles the on going war between the Human nation of El Morad and the Orc like Tuareks of Karus. Players chose which side they wish to fight on but start their adventures in the neutral territory of Moradon City to lean the basics. Take part in large battles, gain titles and earn the rank of ‘Knight’ in this classic MMORPG.

These are the games jobs or characters:

Warrior – Warriors are the main melee fighters of Knight Online and possess the highest HP and defense, making them the ideal tanks.

Rogue – Rogues are a versatile class that can specialize in either melee (daggers) or ranged (bows & arrows) combat. Rogues can learn an assortment of skills such as healing, invisibility, and speed boosting abilities.

Mage – Mages are offensive casters who have powerful direct damage and damage over time spells. Mages also have abilities that stun or slow enemies as well as teleport allied players.

Priest – Priests play the supportive role in Knight Online with spells that both heal and buff. Priests also have offensive abilities such as curses which lower their enemies stats.

MMO MadNess (Scions of Fate)

This is another game I played for a couple of days with my classmate.

Scions of Fate, known as Yulgang in Asia, is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG with an oriental setting. Play as one of five classes and join either of the two warring factions; The Order or Chaos. Players can unite to form a ‘House’ which acts as a guild and can level up depending on the activity of its members.

Cons: -Limited character customization. -Stale gameplay. -No skills until level 10. -Too few features. -Too dependent on premium shop.

There are six classes to chose from during character creation, note that your character’s gender is tied to the option you select during account creation. The classes are:

Swordsman – Melee warriors with fast attack speed, high accuracy, and dodge rates. Swordsmen are offensive fighters with average health and defense.

Bladesman – The main tanking class of Scions of Fate. Bladesman have the highest defense and health ratings but deal less damage than other classes. They also possess the only AoE (area of effect) ability in the game.

Archer – Masters of ranged combat. Archers must keep their enemies at a distance since they suffer from low defense and health ratings. Luckily, a high dodge rate gives them the ability to get away.

Healer – The only true caster class. Healers start out in mostly a supportive roll but become heavy damage dealers during late game levels.

Spearman – Spearmen have the highest attacking power in the game but have a bit lower health and defense than other melee classes.

Ninja – The latest class addition. Ninjas have the fastest attack speed with their preferred dagger weapon class. Ninjas also have the unique ability to go into stealth mode.

Players won’t be able to learn skills until level 10 and must wait until level 35 to join one of the two warring factions; The Order or Chaos

*If you want to play the game, make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for you to play the game smoothly. What MMO player wants to play with lag? If your system doesn’t meet with the minimum system requirements, you may experience disturbances or worse… you can’t play the game.
